The notes that Krystal Surles wrote on a pad of paper after serial killer, Tommy Lynn Sells cut her throat. He thought she was dead, and she was able to go get help after he left. The attack happened in Texas, in December, 1999.

Krystal’s 13 year old friend, Katy Harris was stabbed 16 times, and she died from her wounds. Sells was convicted of her murder and sentenced to death. He was executed on April 3rd, 2014. He declined to make a final statement. He was 49 years old.
