Crime scene photos from the Aurora Theater shooting perpetrated by James Eagan Holmes , which lasted just 7 minutes leaving 12 dead and 70 injured. James set off tear gas grenades , in the Century 16 movie Theater , then opened fire on the audience with multiple fire arms. He rigged his apartment with homemade explosives, which were defused by the bomb squad a day after. He was arrested outside the Theater in his car minutes after the shooting took place. James Holmes has been sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.
