Joshua Davies was a 16-year-old boy who was convicted of murdering his 15-year-old ex girlfriend, Rebecca Aylward. Rebecca was said to have been infatuated by Joshua, while Joshua had discussed the various ways he would like to kill Rebecca to his friends whom he met for breakfast every Saturday. After one of these meetings, Josh texted his friend asking what he would do if he actually killed her. His friend replied, ‘’Oh, I would buy you breakfast.’’ On the day of the murder, Josh routinely met with his friends for breakfast, and before he left, told them, ‘’The time has come.’’ Josh lured Rebecca to a secluded wood and then used a rock the size of a rugby ball to smash her skull with at least six brutal blows to the back of the head. Two days after the murder, Josh texted his friend, ‘’Don’t say anything but you may just owe me a breakfast.’’ Josh was sentenced to 14 years imprisonment.
