On October 21, 2005, the mummified remains of Dana Marie Surette Pastori were found in a particle board trunk that her ex-boyfriend John Morgan had kept for years and left in the house where he had previously lived in New Orleans. She had been missing since 2002,a friend had heard Pastori say she was leaving New Orleans and everyone thought she had left willingly. She was strangled and her body dismembered so she could fit the particle board trunk, Pastori could only be identified through dental records. Morgan was charged with second-degree murder and on August 3, 2009, he was sentenced to life in prison. John Morgan mantains he didn’t kill Pastori.
