Serial killer Dennis Nilsen killed at least fifteen men and boys between 1978 and 1983, and was known to retain corpses for sex acts. He would boil their skin and hide the body parts in various places in the apartment. He was eventually caught after trying to dispose of the body parts, but it clogged up the drains. the drain cleaning company found that the drains were congested with human flesh and contacted the police.

The apartment at 23D Cranley Gardens, London, was sold for £250,000. It was advertised as a “centrally located” flat but buyers were told to research the history of this property.
